The role.
A builder runs on paperwork it would rather not do. This role owns that: the inbox, the invoices, the scheduling, the compliance folder and the worker records behind our labour hire arm.
It is a genuinely broad job in a small team. If you like owning a system end to end, it will suit you.
What you would do.
- First point of contact: phones, inbox and enquiries
- Raise purchase orders and keep supplier accounts in order
- Prepare and issue client invoices, and follow up the ones that go quiet
- Support the bookkeeper with accounts payable and receivable
- Keep the compliance folder current: insurances, licences, inductions, SWMS
- Maintain worker records and paperwork for the labour hire arm
- Coordinate schedules, site deliveries and trade bookings
- Keep client and job files filed so anyone can find them
What you need.
- Administration experience, ideally in construction, trades or a similar hands on business
- Comfortable with Xero or similar, and with a spreadsheet
- You chase things without being asked twice
- Clear written and phone manner with clients and subcontractors
- Discreet with financial and personal information
Nice to have, not essential: Construction or trades industry experience, Payroll or timesheet experience, Xero, Experience with subcontractor compliance.
