Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information Piper Moss Constructions Pty Ltd (ABN 96 698 311 312, NSW Licence 497435C) collects through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can see or correct it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Your contact details: name, email address, phone number, suburb or postcode, and the property address if you give it.
- Your project: what you tell us about the job, photos, plans or other files you upload, the choices you make in our estimators and calculators, the estimate they show you, and when you would like a call.
- Job applications: the role, your experience and licences, your CV and your contact details.
- How you found us: if you arrive from a Google ad, the click identifier Google adds to the link (gclid, gbraid or wbraid), the campaign and keyword tags (UTM data), and the Google Analytics identifiers for your browser and visit. We also record the pages you visit on our site, the site that referred you and your browser type.
- Calls from our ads: if you call us from a Google ad, Google tells us the call happened and how long it lasted. We do not record calls.
We need a phone number and email address to respond to an enquiry about a job. If you would rather not give them, call us on the number below.
Why we collect it
- To reply to your enquiry, prepare an estimate or quote, arrange a site visit and follow up about your job.
- To send you an automatic email confirming we received your enquiry.
- To assess a job application and contact you about the role.
- To measure which of our advertising brings us enquiries and work, so we spend less on ads that do not.
We do not sell your personal information.
What we share with Google to measure our advertising
We use Google Ads and Google Analytics. When you send an enquiry, our site tells Google that an enquiry happened, together with the ad click identifier. If your enquiry later becomes a confirmed job, we may tell Google that too, with the job value. We may also send Google a hashed copy of your email address and phone number. Hashing turns them into a one-way code that Google uses only to match the enquiry to an ad click. It cannot be turned back into your details. We do not send Google your name, address, messages or files.
Google Analytics and Google Ads use cookies and similar browser storage. Our site also keeps a copy of a form in your browser for a short time, so an enquiry is not lost if your connection drops. You can block cookies in your browser settings, manage Google ad personalisation at myadcenter.google.com, and opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.
Where it is stored and who can see it
Only our team can see your details. We use these service providers to run the website and handle enquiries:
- Netlify, which hosts this website and receives form submissions.
- Cloudflare, which delivers the website.
- Google (Sheets, Apps Script, Gmail, Analytics and Ads), which holds our enquiry records and measures our advertising.
- Resend and Google, which send our enquiry alert and confirmation emails.
- Microsoft 365, where our team receives enquiry emails and where job applications and CVs are filed.
These providers may store or process information in the United States and other countries where they operate.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for as long as we need them to respond to you and for our business records, and for no longer than 7 years. If your enquiry does not go ahead, you can ask us to delete your details at any time.
Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Email [email protected] or call 0478 183 300. We will respond within 30 days.
Complaints
If you are concerned about how we have handled your personal information, contact us first using the details above and we will try to resolve it. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
